NBEMS Denies NEET PG 2025 Data Leak
NBEMS dismisses allegations of NEET PG 2025 data leak as candidates report privacy violations.

Amid growing concerns over data privacy, the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has denied allegations of a data leak involving NEET PG 2025 candidates. The clarification comes after several students reported receiving unsolicited calls and messages from alleged admission counsellors offering postgraduate medical seats for money.

The controversy erupted after online listings titled “NEET PG 2025 Student Database” appeared on multiple platforms, claiming to sell candidate information. Reports suggested that personal details — including names, contact numbers, email IDs, and ranks — were allegedly available for purchase.

Students Raise Alarms Over Privacy Breach

Many NEET PG candidates took to X (formerly Twitter), Telegram, and Reddit to express shock and frustration over how private agencies might have obtained their personal data.

One student, speaking anonymously, said,

“I have received calls from multiple NEET PG counsellors. How did they get my number? Several websites are openly selling student data. This is a complete violation of privacy.”

Another candidate shared on Reddit that they confronted a data seller on Telegram who claimed to have full access to NEET PG 2025 records.

“He had all my correct details — name, father’s name, email ID, phone number, and even my state. The accuracy of the information is concerning,” the student said.

NBEMS Responds to Allegations

Responding to the issue, NBEMS officials categorically denied any breach of its database, asserting that the organisation maintains strict cybersecurity protocols. “All candidate information is securely stored and handled with the highest level of data protection,” an NBEMS representative said.

The board added that the alleged data leaks may have originated from external sources or fraudulent entities not associated with NBEMS or the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). Officials have also urged candidates not to engage with individuals or platforms claiming to provide admissions through unofficial channels.

Cybercrime Authorities May Step In

Education experts have called for a cyber forensic investigation to trace the source of the data being sold online. Authorities are expected to monitor Telegram and dark web listings to identify those involved in the alleged leak.

As NEET PG 2025 continues to face scrutiny over exam delays and legal disputes, this alleged data breach has added to candidates’ anxiety, raising urgent questions about data security and transparency in medical entrance examinations.
