New Delhi:The Delhi Government has launched a new digital platform — the ‘School Web App’ — designed to transform the city’s education ecosystem by integrating academic and administrative functions into a unified system. Delhi Government Launches ‘School Web App’ to Digitally Transform Education System

School Web App: One Platform for Students, Teachers, and Parents

Developed to bring all stakeholders under one interface, the School Web App enables students, teachers, and parents to access essential school-related services digitally. The platform includes features such as digital timetables, attendance tracking, homework updates, study materials, and real-time results, reducing paperwork and manual record-keeping.

Vision of Digital Empowerment

At the launch event, Education Minister Ashish Sood emphasized that the new platform aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Digital India and Viksit Bharat 2047 vision. He said,

“The true spirit of digital empowerment lies in ensuring that every student receives information instantly, without delay or dependence. This initiative makes education smarter, transparent, and inclusive.”

The minister further noted that the app will encourage innovation and entrepreneurship among students by providing direct access to digital learning resources and modern educational tools.

Empowering Teachers and Parents

The School Web App aims to reduce the administrative workload on teachers, allowing them to focus more on teaching and mentoring. For parents, the app offers real-time insights into their child’s academic performance, attendance, and progress — bridging the communication gap between schools and families.

Aligned with NEP 2020 Goals

In line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the app promotes skill-based learning, creativity, and digital literacy. It also integrates initiatives like Fit India activities and encourages a holistic approach to education by focusing on physical well-being and innovation.

A Step Toward Digital Transformation in Education

Minister Sood expressed gratitude to educators, administrators, and developers involved in the project, stating:

“When determination is strong, the results are equally powerful. The School Web App marks a milestone in creating a digitally empowered and progressive future for Delhi’s students.”

The Delhi government plans to expand the app’s features in future updates, incorporating artificial intelligence (AI)-based analytics to personalize learning and improve administrative decision-making.
