JEE Main 2026 City Slip Released at jeemain.nta.nic.in: How to Download

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the city intimation slips for JEE Main 2026 Session 1. Candidates can now check the city of their exam centre and make travel or lodging arrangements in advance. The slips can be downloaded from the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in.

JEE Main 2026 Exam Dates and Schedule
The JEE Main 2026 examinations will be held as follows:
Paper 1: January 21, 22, 23, 24, and 28, 2026
Paper 2: January 29, 2026
Each exam day will have two shifts:
Shift 1: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Shift 2: 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Steps to Download JEE Main 2026 City Intimation Slip
Visit the official JEE Main website at jeemain.nta.nic.in.
Click on the link for “JEE Main 2026 Session 1 Advanced City Intimation Slip.”
Enter your JEE Main 2026 application number and password to log in.
Once logged in, click on the city intimation slip link.
The allotted exam city details will be displayed—check and download for reference.
Important Details About Exam Cities
Candidates were allowed to select up to four preferred exam cities during registration.
NTA will try to accommodate preferences, but city assignments may differ due to administrative or logistical reasons.
The city slip helps candidates plan travel and accommodation, but does not serve as an admit card.
Missed Session 1 Exam?
Candidates who miss JEE Main Session 1 are not disqualified. They can appear in Session 2 (April 2026), and the best score from the two sessions will be considered for:
Admission to NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs
JEE Advanced eligibility
Post-Exam Process for JEE Main 2026 Session 1
After the January exams:
NTA will release the provisional answer key and candidate response sheets.
Candidates can challenge errors in the provisional key by paying a non-refundable fee (₹200 per question).
After reviewing challenges, NTA will publish the final answer key and Session 1 results, expected by February 12, 2026.
Registration for Session 2 (April 2026) will open in late January or early February 2026, allowing candidates to improve their scores.
Final ranks and JEE Advanced qualifying cutoffs will be determined after Session 2 results in April 2026.
The top 2,50,000 qualifiers will be eligible for JEE Advanced 2026, scheduled for late April or early May.
JoSAA counselling for admission into NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs is expected to start in June 2026.
